When the craving for ribs strikes, there’s usually little you can do to stop it. That is, besides eating ribs. They’re just so satisfying. Sweet, salty, savory, tender…they’re appetizing. But sometimes, the grill just isn’t an option. Baking is one of the solutions. Everyone’s favorite part of eating ribs has got to be the sauce. I don’t know, but, in my part, I prefer to eat no sauce. I want to savor the robust flavor those seasoning spices rub in it every tenderness bit. Others like to accompany fries or rice, but on my side again I choose vegetables, they taste so delicious.
Difficulty: Medium
Preparation: 30 mins
Cooking: 2 hours
Suitable for: 2 – 3 people
Ingredients
1-2 rack baby back ribs
1.5 tsp paprika powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1.5 tsp dried thyme
1.5 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried bay leaves
1.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Be sure the ribs are clean and dry, not wet.
2. preheat oven to 160°C/320°F (all oven types).
3. Combine all the seasonings and rub onto both sides of the ribs (most on the meaty side). Set aside to marinate for 20 minutes
4. Place it into the baking pan and wraps in foil.
5. Cook for 1 & a half hours. You’ll know it’s ready when the meat pulls back from the bone and becomes fork-tender.
6. To drain the liquids, place the ribs carefully over the oven racks. When liquid stops, put back inside the oven and cook continuously for about 30 minutes. Take note, do not burn them; turn each side every 15 minutes.
7. Serve it with sauce or non as you prefer and accompany your desired side dish.
