Once there lived a humble and talented daughter who has big dreams in her life. She helps her parents all the time and study hard. She has always received awards during recognition day.
However, even if she does well in school, some of her relatives and friends are bullied. She cries silently at night and smiles genuinely at the day to hide the torment she feels
One day, while she is walking down the road, she saw a notebook. She picked it up and read the note written on the first page out loud “The Stars in the Notebook.”
Then, she looked around to see if she could sit somewhere so she can be able to read what is inside the notebook. When she found a perfect place, she hurriedly opened it, but to her dismay, the only written is “dream.”
So, she went home, stunned and sorry because she is expecting something interesting
When she arrived home, her mother approached her,
“What happened, dear?
The girl showed the notebook to her mother.
“I found a notebook, and I’m expecting something pleasing to read. But, when I opened it, the only word written is just a “dream.”
The mother approached the daughter and told her to sit down.
“Dear, may I ask you what your dream is?”
“I dream of being a successful person, having a profession, and never bullied anymore, mother.”
“That’s right. If you want to be successful and reach your goal, you will always strive to get what you desire in life. But, these dreams are not as easy as picking a notebook on the road. You will hear criticisms from others, you will fall, you will cry, you will get frustrated, you will lose confidence, feel discouraged, and you often feel like giving up. However, giving up is not an option. Your dreams said it all.”
The mother held the daughter’s hand and smiled.
“People will drag you down and will hurt your feelings, but you should not stop dreaming. Don’t give someone the satisfaction of watching you suffer. You are strong, and we believe in you, my dear! Never mind them. It may be wise to remove them from your life. Silently dream while you live, while you can, and achieving your goal is the greatest reward. “Pick up yourself, smile, and continue to grow.” mother said.
A tear drops from the daughter’s eyes and her mother hugged her tightly.
Moral of the story
Never give up on your dreams, and continue to strive while you live.
